Q: What is the grading standard of diamond, and what is 4C of diamond?

A: Diamond (4C) standard: Carat, Colour, Cut and Clarity. 4C is the abbreviation for the four

standards for diamond grading.

Q: What is H&A, and what's the meaning of 3EX?

A: H&A is the abbreviation for Heart & Arrow, i.e. eight hearts and 8 arrows. The angle and ratio

of every section are symmetrical, which presents the 8 hearts at the culet of the diamond; the

flats form 8 arrows. The 8 hearts and 8 arrows only reflect the cutting symmetry of the diamond,

but not indicating the polishing and the quality of cutting proportion.3EX reflects the polishing,

symmetry and cutting proportion are excellent, which is the top cut of diamond.

Q: Why does the diamond with eight hearts and eight arrows lack fire and brilliance?

A: Eight hearts eight arrows only refer to the symmetry of the diamond, not entirely

representative of CUT is very good, but the diamond colours mainly depends on the ultimate cut,

so you can cut the index.

Q: Is the brilliance of diamond from its colours?

A: In fact, the brilliance of a diamond mainly depends on the cut. Among a few diamonds, the

brightest diamond is the one with the best cut.

Q: What are the origins of diamonds, and is there any relationship between the quality of

diamond and the origin?

A: The world's most famous origins of diamonds are Australia, South Africa, Zaire, Botswana,

Russia and other countries. There are also diamonds produced in Liaoning, Shandong, Hunan

and other provinces in China. Diamond is the pure simple substance of carbon element, which

has a stable chemical composition and few incidental elements. Therefore, the diamonds from

South Africa, Russia, Australia, Boz watts or Namibia have the same structure and similar

quality. The reason that the diamonds from South African are famous is that South African is the

country which first found large-scale primary diamond ore in the world in contemporary and

modern times, and that many world-famous diamonds (Cullinan and Star of South Africa, etc.)

are produced by South African. But this does not mean that South Africa's diamonds are better.

When selecting diamonds, we should pay attention to the 4C quality grading instead of the origin.

Only by this way can we find the satisfactory diamond.

Q: Does the size mean the size of a ring, and how can I decide my size?

A: Yes, the size means the size of a ring, which is expressed by numbers. If you are not clear

about your own size when order online, we recommend you to measure in the following method:

wind the finger for a circle with cotton thread or a slip of paper, straighten the cotton thread or a

slip of paper, measure with a ruler and determine your size as per the table.

Q: If you want to surprise your girlfriend, how should you measure her size secretly?

A: To secretly measure your girlfriend's size is not an easy thing, we suggest you to measure her

size in the following methods.:

(1) Shifting:

If she likes to wear the ring on her index finger or middle finger, you can seize an opportunity to

take the ring to a jewelry store for measurement. In general, the middle finger and ring finger only

differs one number, but the index finger and ring finger differs two numbers. So you should be

clear that the ring you take is worn by her on which finger. Of course, remember to replace the

ring to avoid suspicion!

(2) Cleaning:

Her ring may become dark or old, you can suggest her to clean in a jewellery store. Thus, you

can also get her size without arousing suspicion.

(3) With paper and pen:

Draw a line along the inner ring with a pen and paper, take the paper to get an accurate size

from a jewellery dealer.

(4) Asking:

You can try to ask her friends or relatives who may know the exact size. However, you should

make sure that the person you ask will not reveal the secret! They should tell them that it is

secret, and they will support you. If no method is available, you should estimate her size. The

sizes of girls vary from 10 to 15, so you can find a finger which is close to her finger in size, and

the difference between them. Get the size in a jewellery store or measure the perimeter of that

finger. You can estimate her size by your own or send the picture to a customer service staff for

help. You can rest assured to buy the ring. If the size is not suitable, you can change the size for

free. Remember, surprise is the most important!

Note: the sizes in different time periods are different: the size will be the largest at five or six

clock in the afternoon, and then follows the morning. The size will be one number larger in

summer than that in winter. So, the best time to measure the size is five or six in the afternoon.

Q: The brilliance is not as good as before after wearing a diamond for a while, what can I do?

A: You can go to the Experience Centre for free cleaning and maintenance, or clean it by

yourself at home. The method is very simple: Soak the diamond in the warm diluted detergent,

rinse with water and wipe with soft cloth.

Q: Which is the most important in the four Cs of a diamond?

A: The value of a diamond is determined by the four Cs, so the four Cs are all important. In terms

of cost performance, priority will be given to some factors when selecting the diamond. When the

size of diamond is determined, we put emphasis on "cut", which directly determines the brilliance

of the diamond. Therefore, cut is known as the second life of a diamond. Then, we will consider

the "color" ranging from D to Z: the closer the diamond is to color D, the more transparent the

diamond is. The least important one is "clarity" (VS or above is better) which has little influence

on the diamond.

Q: Why would the color of 18K change?

A: 18K refers to the gold ornaments with 75% pure gold by mass, and the remaining 25% are

other precious metals. The color of the metal is mainly determined by the ratio of other metals.

Generally, it is yellowish white. For beauty and practicality, the jewellery is used to be plated with

a layer. The bright white we see is the coating. Some behaviours in daily life can lead to the wear

of the coating, such as doing housework, bathing, smearing cosmetics, or rubbing with other

hard materials. After the coating begins to wear off, the metal color will be exposed and appears

pale yellowish white, which is a normal phenomenon. As long as the product has passed the

quality inspection center, the content of jewellery will have no problem. Many consumers do not

know the situation when wearing jewellery, and mistakenly believe that the jewellery quality has

a problem. In fact, we do not have to worry about this.

Q: What is carat and its origin?

A: As a unit of weight, carat is originated from the carob seeds (Carob) by the seaside of Europe:

with reddish flowers, brown nuts in pods, which is ca. 15 cm and can be used to produce glue. It

is very interesting that, no matter where the Carob grows, the weight of every seed is the same.

Historically, the fruit was used as a measure of weight and gradually becomes a unit of weight,

which is used to measure the precious and delicate substances. Since 1907, it was

internationally agreed as the measurement unit for gem.

Q: Why is color D the highest grade of diamond?

A: Because the English word of the diamond is started with letter D, color D is used to represent

the highest grade of diamond. GIA Color Grading System can be divided into 4 grades (including

23 levels), in which D is the highest level and Z is the lowest level.

Q: What are VVS1 and VVS2?

A: VVS (Very Very Small Inclusions) means that teeny defects can be seen on a diamond with a

10X magnifier for gems. Clarity refers to the transparency of a diamond, which mainly depends

on the size, position and number of the inclusions and defects. GIA standards are as follows:

Q: How many facets does a diamond have?

A: The standard round brilliant has 57-58 facets. Because of the size of the diamonds, the

bottom of some diamonds are grind into culet. Therefore, the diamonds with a culet have 58

facets, and the diamonds without a culet have 57 facets.
